SPEAKING – Men in the Arena

The Men in the Arena Podcast

EXAMPLE KEYNOTE, EQUIPPING SEMINAR, AND RETREAT SERIES TOPICS

“Pursue the Right Trophies: The Great Hunt for God” (Keynote)
Men are trophy hunters, but they will never become the best version of themselves without radical pursuit of the greatest prize of all, Jesus.

“Men on the Roof: When Life Knocks You Down” (Keynote)
Men tend to isolate themselves and gravitate away from close, life-giving relationships. But life is tough. When life leaves you paralyzed in fear and doubt, who are the men on your roof who have your back at all costs?

“Avoiding Moral Failure: Building Guardrails Around the Ones You Love” (Keynote)
When men crash and burn morally, it can usually be traced to an innocent guardrail breach that escalated to disastrous proportions. Wise men build guardrails around themselves and those they love.

“Men Show Up” (Keynote)
When Jesus met the woman at the well, he was hungry, thirsty and tired. But Jesus showed up, engaged and changed an entire region of men and women. Men show up.

"True Grit: Cultivating the Biblical Virtue of Endurance” (Keynote and Retreat Series)
This message looks at the man Jesus and how he dealt with the adversarial attacks from those who were threatened by him. We will look at the true grit of Jesus, and how men can grow in grit, guts, and the biblical virtue of endurance.

“Words of a Patriarch: Three Words of a Great Father” (Keynote)
God the Father speaks audibly three times in the New Testament, and two of those times He says virtually the same thing. In doing so, He leaves a beautiful model for every man to imitate as he loves his children and grandchildren.

“Fighting PMS: Passive Male Syndrome" (Keynote)
When Eve ate the forbidden fruit, the Bible is clear to communicate that, “She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. (Genesis 3:6)” Men have been battle passivity from that day since.

“Crowded: Going Against the Flow” (Retreat Series)
We never drift upstream. This series explores the social norms often pressing against a man and how he can fight against them to become his best version.

“Strong Men, Dangerous Times: The Definition of Manhood” (Seminar or Retreat Series)
A "male" and a "man" are different. Age does not make the man. Neither does anatomy or success. Modern culture has blurred the lines defining manhood. Jim unpacks each the five aspects of manhood for this generation of men.

“Men in the Arena: Becoming Your Best Version in the Stress Bubble” (Seminar or Retreat Series)
Life is brutal in the midst of the Stress Bubble: raising a family, loving your wife, working your butt off at work, and serving in your community. This seminar is for all men in the arena who are getting it done amidst life’s pressures. We’ll inspire and equip you to thrive instead of exploding under pressure or deflating into boyish behavior. If you've stepped out of the anonymous bleachers and onto the arena floor - We Salute You!

This is just a sampling of topics that can be tailored to your needs - there are more.
