September Newsletter – Men in the Arena

September Newsletter

In each newsletter I include one of the many “Hero Stories” that we receive from all over the world. They are Hero Stories because when a man gets it—everyone wins, and he becomes the hero to not only his family but to his world of influence. Last month I ran into several women who were thanking us for the marriage changing information they received from the Men in the Arena Podcast.

They? You hear me right. Because we interview authors and experts on masculinity, we have a large group of women silently following our ministry who are passionate to understand and love their men. I was so impacted by this that the week of Valentines will officially be known as “Wife Week”, where we’ll produce five podcasts in one week targeting marriage, and how women can understand the male brain. I’m really excited about this.

In 2012 we launched this ministry out of a coffee shop in my hometown of McMinnville, Oregon. As things open, we will be giving back to the town we love in the Arena Gathering, which was growing rapidly last year but we were compelled to shut it down due to COVID. Pray for wisdom, leaders, and a location as we launch what we believe will be the largest weekly gathering for men in the history of our county.

SAVE THE DATE: Our Annual Fundraising banquet has been moved to April 9, 2022. The Banquet team unanimously decided to move to a spring date due to conflicts with local fundraisers we support, COVID restrictions, and hunting season. We have a great night in the making. If you are willing to sponsor a table this year, please let us know.

The Full Capacity Man rough draft is now complete. Our editing team is reviewing it, and then it will go to Five Stones Press for editing and cover design. It will be released on June 1, 2022. In the meantime, we will be releasing Guts and Manhood as a paper book (It was a free download) in January 2022. Visit our website (www.meninthearena.org) to check out our five-book, Strong Men Series Study Guides for your men’s small group this fall. Don’t forget to take the Best Version of a Man Assessment while you are there and sign up for one of our virtual teams this fall.

Thank you to all our champions who are making a massive impact with thousands upon thousands of men and those they love. Please focus your prayer energy on the five, fall cycle virtual teams of men that will be launching in October. Our National Team Captains (Gary McCusker, Casey McCusker, Sam Roberts, Dale Collver, Rex Tignor, Jack Eaton, Mike Goins, Pat George, Jay Penton, and Dan Smoker) have been diligently working towards our launch dates in early October.

Living for Full Capacity,
